I am running FreeSWAN (reasonably) successfully between syd and san fran.
Things to watch out for:
- Doesn't seem to work with kernels above 2.2.12
- Applying others patches (say USB backport) is troublesome
- Apparently the non-pluto connections (if you follow the docs,
this is how you tst to see you have something functioning) do
not appear to be working. Using pluto from the start helps.
