Just for the record, BeOS 5 seems to have very good hardware support. It
autodetected my intel etherexpress pro 10/100, TNT graphics card, and sound
blaster live.
It auto installed the drivers, all I had to do was choose a screen
resolution and assign an IP address, niether of which required a reboot.
This was with a boot disk and
a beos image on the linux file system. If they can just get some application
support it is a nice easy to use os.
