Hi Sluggers, Configuring the new DPT Millenium Raid controllers or the Eicon Diva range of isdn cards under linux is a nightmare of patches, crap error messages and absolutely piss-poor documentation, most of it in german. Is anyone running either of these cards successfully? Strangely, getting them running under Windoze is a 5 minute exercise.... so if no-one else is running these cards (proving it can be done) I'll probably install Bill's trash and get on with the job. So far I've spent more than 20 hours diddling with linux and this hardware - I'll spend less than that watching NT blue screen and auto-reboot for the next several years. Linux is awesome once its fully setup, but trying to configure non-standard hardware is imho usually not worth the effort, and definately not recommended unless you have a few days with nothing else to do. This is sad because linux on a high end server would rock. I guess in a couple more years the vendor-provided drivers will improve, but till then I'll avoid running linux on anything more than standard low end pc's.
