Hey all,
Here's something that occurred to me a while ago:
When I log out, and the screen is 'clear'ed, I can still shift-page up to
see what was going on in the session beforehand.
This seems extraordinarily insecure - sure, you won't be seeing passwords,
but just looking over what the previously logged in user was doing is more
than slightly uncool/insecure.
I have to say I'm pretty sure I've only tried this on RedHat machines -
pretty sure I haven't thought to do it on any others.
First off, is there a way of clearing the console buffer, and secondly, why
on earth does this happen by default?
