That one's easy: There are a lot of ways to do it, but here are some of the more common ones: InterScan [Port 25] -> SendMail invoke by command line InterScan [Port 25] -> SendMail Daemon [Port XXXX] SendMail Daemon [Port 25] -> InterScan Daemon [Port XXXX] -> Sendmail Invoke using alternate CF file. (The advantage of this is that anyone trying to hack, will never know that InterScan is running You also get the AMAZING ability of SendMail to do smarthosting, anti-relay/blacklisting etc. ) Anyway, if you treat InterScan just like any other Mail Relay, you can imagine all sorts of possibilities for anti-virus solutions. Oh, and if this gets posted to SLUG, I expect credit. :) (joking) Have a good one, Kenneth Pang Sales Engineer (Technical) Trend Micro Australia Pty. Ltd. Your Internet VirusWall! Hi George, InterScan for Linux is fully real time - We actually accept the mail/web/ftp request on behalf of the client/server and scan the file before handing it to the intended recipient. We also have a Linux FileScan which is an on-demand scanner that can be called by script or by a Cron job. I hope this helps. If you would like any assistance in finding out what is available, or what you need for a complete anti-virus solution, that seems to be my job title these days :) Please do not hesitate to contact me.
