I was not very concerned about fs speed - it seems fast enough for what I
do with it, as did ext2.
What I was/am interested in is doing away with fscking - which reiserfs
seems to deliver (Just a simple test - running machine, hit the power button,
turn it back on and it boots up normal and happy). I have not used it for
long enough to determine how robust it is.
One gotcha I did find: ReiserFs does not appear to support memory mapped
files - much to my disappointment, as they are required when installing
win4lin. For that it seems I will need a ext2 partition after all...
