I am just getting started with Java and downloaded the latest Linux JDK from Sun. I also want to start working with Tomcat so I downloaded the source distribution from the Apache Jakarta project directory as well. When I tried to build it, I noticed that there is no classes.zip file in the lib directory of the JDK as there is in the Sun JDK that I use at work. Shouldn't that be a standard part of the JDK? The Tomcat build scripts have the name hardcoded into the classpath.
