I have an aversion to installing qmail from RPMS. Building from source
is not too difficult.
Follow these simple instructions
- grab the source from
http://cr.yp.to/qmail.html
- create the groups "qmail" and "nofiles"
- create the users
alias
qmaild
qmaill
qmailp
qmailq
qmailr
qmails
- build the backage
make
- install the package
/bin/su root -c "make setup check"
You now have a working qmail install. You can now start creating
aliases in ~alias/.qmail-*
