thanks i am alot closer i think?
i can now run fetchmail but i get the following...
any ideas.. am i ment to be running anything else sendmail for egsample

37 messages for alex060 at 203.164.2.52 (74890 octets).

fetchmail: SMTP transaction error while fetching from 203.164.2.52

BTW is this right..
u can either run a prog kmail eg and get mail straight from a pop host..
or
u can run fetchmail and download the mail then put it in the local mail spool
so plain ol "mail" can pick it up..
or
u can do somthing hidusly compilcated ;-)
side not i am trying to run fetchmail on an ip as i am behind a <antiflame> win
ICS connection </antiflame> and my mail server is an optushome so it is just
mail and i dont seem to be able to resolve it. does this make sence. Can i
fix this by adding the O@H to a path to network setting. or should i be able to
use an ip.
