Yes I should pay more attention. rpm -tb tarball or else you can follow
the guide on rpm.org as to how to write your own spec file. There are
tools to help write spec files available, see freshmeat. To the
quality/usability of these I havent tried any. Your better having a go
with a few good examples and using your favourite editor.
