It was a stupidly simple mistake on my part, and everyone who replied got
it right first time... (thanks also for the lack of flames)

yes, i missed a '$'
big oops, especially for the amount of time i spent on it (no to mention
that of others).
>$myVar = 0; // zero means FALSE, any other value is good (positive or

that was my problem, i needed to include "0" as a valid value, hence
isset(). Basically i wanted a statement if '$'Score exists, do blah.
