I remember coming across this when someone was asking about process
groups on the slug list a while ago. Looks like the typo
(heave -> heavy) has been fixed at least.

The logic in that code hasn't been touched in six years, apart from
DaveM putting fine grained locks through it. Gotta wonder if Linus
had a copy of APUE back then :)
