Hummingbird Exceed's version of telnet running on NT prompts the remote telnetter with: login: blablabla Password: (A) - VT Series/Graphics/ANSI Colour (B) - Microsoft Telnet Enter Terminal Emulation: ...then clears the screen and you get C:> so presumable a VT100 should be OK. What the heck is Microsoft Telnet though? Maybe if a Windows machine telnets into another running Exceed telnet (which by the way is based on BSD telnet), then there are some additional "enhancements" available. I hate to think what they've done to it! - Jill. ___________________________________________ Jill Rowling Senior Design Engineer & Unix System Administrator Electronic Engineering Department, Aristocrat Technologies 3rd Floor, 77 Dunning Ave Rosebery NSW 2018 Phone: (02) 9697-4484 Fax: (02) 9663-1412 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > -----Original Message----- > From: Angus Lees [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > On Tue, Jul 25, 2000 at 04:50:22PM +1000, MacFarlane, Jarrod wrote: > > Windows 2000 telnet.exe supports colour .. so it seems. > -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/slug
