I an attempting to compile from a .src.rpm under Mandrake 7.1 and I get
the following error during the configure stage:
checking for gcc... egcs
checking whether the C compiler (egcs -O6 -fomit-frame-pointer ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create
executables.
egcs is installed.
