Hi all, This will probably be the last cross-post between festies, announce and slug for a while... Apologies to those on these lists without good procmail setups! ;) SLUG needs an organiser for our Installfest coming up in August. This will be a tad different from Installfests past - we're going to have a lot of people watching, across the planet. Feeling the pressure yet? Read on. Basically we need: * someone who can compile a workable (and inspiring) list of what our Installfest should entail. * someone who can hand out tasks and make sure they get done. * a cruel whipmaster to keep us in line. * a balancer to make sure we don't go off the deep end in some foolish, grandiose plan. * a leader to keep us going during the boring stuff. * someone who can get a motley team working together, with all their different skills and specialties. If you're reading this like I'm writing it, you'll know that we're looking for our own handy "Installfest Linus". Yes, you will get a badge. Maybe a funny hat if you're lucky. ;) You will be supported by the committee 100% - our only concern for the next month is making the Installfest the best it can be. You'll also have the support of everyone involved in Installfest 2000, which includes user groups across the country and all our combined contacts. You don't need a huge amount of time. Commitment and contactability will be enough. If you're interested in being our "Installfest Linus", or you've got some great ideas and time to get involved, please subscribe to the festies mailing list at: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/festies/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Jeff Waugh Committee Member Sydney Linux User Group -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------- http://linux.org.au/installfest/ http://linux.conf.au/ I am Jack's implicit trust of ActiveX & VBScript. http://slug.org.au/ -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/slug
