I've looked inside it and it shows basically the following:

/boot/System.map-2.2.16-3
/boot/module-info-2.2.16-3
/boot/vmlinux-2.2.16-3
/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.16-3
/lib/modules
/lib/modules/2.2.16-3 ---v
                        list of modules...

So, it's actually going to have 2 kernels with only 1 to boot..

OK , so I should be quite safe to revert back if necessary... Just check the
lilo.conf and where it's pointing to...

With kernel RPMs the RH recommended procedure is not to do a replace,
but to do a install so that both RPMs are present. Then edit
/etc/lilo.conf so that you can boot either kernel, just in case. It's on
one of their Web pages, don't have the URL.
