It's only over-priced compared to ADSL and cable. These have been
designed first and foremost to be cheap. They experience greater
economies of scale than ISDN ever will and they are designed primarily
to deliver bits to customers, rather than accept bits from them.
Consequently consuming broadband content is much cheaper than serving
it. Given the nature of the existing media power structures, this should
not be a surprise.
