Hi all,
SLUG is runnign an installfest on the 26th of august and we need a number
of things.
1. Would you like to help sponsor the event ?
We are looking for interested sponsors to chip in some money to
help cover the cost of room hire and food. If you know somebody that might
be interested in being a sponsor, or the comapny you work for would be
interested in being a sponsor then let us know.
2. Would you like to do a talk of some sort ?
We are looking for poeple to run a variety of talks. It is an installfest
so something of a newbie slant woudl be good, but i would like to run
talks on a variety of topics, not all newbie stuff so that there is
something for everybody. If you'd like to do a talk on anything
(prefereably at least slightly linux related) then drop us a line, the
more the merrier.
3. Would you like to help as an installer ?
We need people of different levels to act as install guru's and question
answers etc. Given many of the people are only beginners any level of
experience up from rank novice will be ample. We shoudl have hats or
tshirts or something for installers etc.
4. Would you come anyway ?
We always need people to mill around and just help out a bit.
Currently things are up in the air with sponsors, and so if you knwo
anybody you think would be interested in being a sponsor feel free to give
us a contact name, sponsors of the event will be entitiled to send along
reps to help out and do any sort of reasonabe advertising on the day,
sell goods, give talks about there company, you get the idea.
Well look forward to hearing back from people as i know i will get a flood
of responses.
