Hi all,
I stayed up to listen to the GNOME Press Conference this morning, and I have
to say (even mid-way through) that this is amazing stuff. Truly incredible.
I'm hoping the Real Audio stream will be archived. You can hear the
excitement in the voices of Miguel, Nat, Bob Young et al. There have
been some really interesting statements from Sun and IBM, and theories of
why the community works as it does...
Bob Young just mentioned that, "under the open source model, the gpl license
eliminates the need for trust".
There's a summary going on in one of the GNOME IRC channels which I'm
logging, and I'll put it up on the webpage when its over.
Would *never* have guessed this would happen all those years ago...
