I'm puzzled by the phrase 'component model'.
We are told that Bonobo is the component model for gnome.

I read recently that WordPerfect is doomed because it doesn't
have a component model.

What is a component model, when it isn't a fancy interprocess
communication mechanism with marshalling and namespaces ?

Is it embedding windows within other windows?

Is Corba involved? If so why isn't it enough?

Is my buzz word detector too sensitive, having been decalibrated
by caffinated beans and re-oriented by un-objective paradigms?
