I have a older system elsewhere which is sitting on slink still... since potato is now stable, I have edited my /etc/apt/sources.list like so. http://site.debian.org/debian slink main contrib non-free I then do a apt-get update etc. But soon as I go apt-get install dump It dies with an error, basically saying it can't find the package, the path it reports has /debian/stable/blah/blah/dump-9.0.5.deb I think the package files on the sites, have references to stable for all packages, and I cannot install anything. Does anyone else have this problem? I have pointed my machine in question http.us.debian.org and also mirror.aarnet, and I get the same problems. Any ideas if this has been solved? -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/slug
