what about a uni Lab ?

other thoughts

1 create a beowulf farm from 386's and use it for Uni projects or hire it as
test lab. Or if it gets large hire the processing power ;-)

2 Create a Slug "Porting Centre". Provide expertise for Companies to prove
their applications on linux :-). IBM et al have been doing this for years
with Unix. Call it "Linux Ready" ;-)

3 Contact the University Union. In Newcastle UNI they had free/subsidised
computing facilities if you were a member of the union (rather than waiting
for a lab to be free). By day people can surf the web etc and by night the
SLUGS arrive. If the machines are provided "FREE" they will need a room to
house them ;-).

4 Contact the Comp Sci dep and see if they would be interested in a Computer
Cluster. Very good for those Parallel computing subjects....... In return we
can use the room after hours....

All these things could be done for subsidised/free rent
