completely pointless discussion (on slashdot, fancy that!)

"unstable" has always been what these people wanted.

"testing" is just going to be a little more self-consistant as an
archive. apt doesn't let you install inconsistant packages anyway, so
the user will barely notice the difference. 


i think unstable has only been "broken" for me twice in several
years. in both cases, checking the debian-devel archives for the
appropriate "unstable is broken" thread fixed it.
