Hi Graeme.

I have three different types of TV cards. All work OK and the biggest
problem is the tuner type must be correct and on some of the
tuners the lead-in socket is NOT a PAL compatiable receptor. In fact
the standard PAL connector is 0.4mm dia. smaller than the TV card
socket so what you end up with is a air-capacitance that
sometimes allows VHF more so than UHF signal through.
Use a standard RCA plug which is 0.5mm dia greater than the receptor
fixes this problem. In fact all the TEMIC tuner cards (at least
the newer shipments) come with a RCA<->PAL adapter (don't mistake PAL
plug with PAL-D the TV transmission standard - 2 different beasts).

Here are my modules settings: (2 cards - one standard TV card, the
other a multi-channel composite card without Tuner) these capture my
PossumCAM stuff. Note: You can't have more than one tuner type in the
system concurrently - the s/w drivers don't support it. Having all
the same tuner type is OK. At the Linux Expo 2000 I had 3 TV cards
all with the same tuner running OK.

options bttv card=15,7 pll=1,1 radio=0,0
options tuner type=7
options i2c verbose=0 scan=1 i2c_debug=0

Hope this helps you.
Cheers, Grahame.
