I believe you can, but only the same hardware architecture (eg Linux x86 can
run Solaris X86 version, but not the SPARC version).
I came across it one day buried deep on http://www.sun.com - sorry I can't
be more specific.
Either that or I'm totally confused and they were running Linux binaries on
Solaris... !
