This is getting way OT because I don't think anyone is running Linux on E250 hardware, but you _CAN_ disable STOP-A by turning the front panel switch to the run position and hiding the keyswitch. Regarding the PC RAM theft issue, I can only say YES has happened recently and YES you need physical security.
