SLUGgers,
I'd basically like to follow up on Ken's thoughts from yesterday.... I
ponder an idea which I think may have been suggested previously....
Why not have a seperate mailing list called "slug-social", "slug-other" or
"slug-chat", or something like that? Rather than just trying to outlaw OT
posts without providing a clear alternative for discussion / getting
things of one's chest, we can provide somewhere for SLUGgers to slug
(yeah, sad joke) it out if something like the Olympics does come up?
Only those who have an interest in the whole spectrum of SLUGger thoughts
need subscribe. Those who want to keep to the _technical_ and _directly
relevant_ threads only, don't lift a finger.
Either this, or we know of an existing list or IRC channel that we can
simply refer these discussions to when they happen.
Thoughts?
David S..
