If the CD doesn't work from CDR but works from the CDROM outside of a
"burning" program then run a cleaner through your CDR - it's probably got a
dirty lens or something.
If it only fails when you are trying to copy it then there is probably a bad
sector on the disk somewhere. Do a quick search on the web - there's
usually good advice somewhere on how to create backup versions of disks.
