You have to have an Alcatel Home or Pro modem ie one with ethernet
not USB. Plug it into one ethernet port then all you need is pppoe and you do MASQ as 
normal. On a debian box just
apt-get install pppoe 
then edit /etc/ppp/chap-secrets and add in username and password
edit /etc/ppp/peers/dsl-provider and change anything important in there.
