if you control both ends, put linux on both and enable "EQL
support". easy.

even if you can't put linux on both ends, just set up multiple
independent ppp connections, set identical routes across them, and
enable "equal cost multipath" in your kernel config.

you certainly don't need 2.4, or any new-fangled version of pppd.


(equal cost multipath will do a simple round-robin of packets, if you
want better balancing, you'll have to enable some of the QoS stuff too.)
