Reminder about the next SLUG meeting this Friday 27th October 2000.
The location is, as usual, the University of Technology, Sydney. We
are currently waiting on confirmation about the room (it should be
1.04.6 -- an update will be sent out should it change). Here are
the current list of things that'll be happening.
- Questions & Answers session
- Monthly Linux News
- Public Key Signing by Anand Kumria
- Conrad Parker on Sweep: a sound editor
- Gareth Hughes on DRI: Direct Rendering for X
XFree86 4.0 contains DRI
Linux 2.4 contains DRI
Gareth will explain what DRI is and how both these two pieces
fit together. As a bonus, as one of the developers of DRI, he
can answer any technical questions you might have. Now is the
time to read up on the XFree86 source to ask questions which
you can stump him with.
- Dinner: at a yet to be announced location
Regards,
Anand

I close my eyes, only for a moment and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes a curiosity
Dust in the wind, All we are is dust in the wind
Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
