It's not a file but a CGI script which looks up a database and outputs
directly from the CGI as CSV data... not a file..

Also trying to make it so the user jsut clicks "Open" and it start Excel up
with the data in it..

Am I doing this the wrong/hard way?

thanks,

Hi George,

If you rename the file as a .txt and start Excel first, you can get it to
File->Open the .txt file, using the wizard to break it up according to the
tab or space delimeters.

OTOH if you have managed to replicate Excel's nonstandard binary scheme,
good luck!

Regards,

Jill.
