If you go for the Abit BP6 (a dual socket board, as opposed to those awful
slots), make absolutely sure you upgrade the BIOS. They used to do unhealthy
things without... Also, you may want to peek at tigert.gimp.org, as he has a
link to a few tips and pointers.

[ This may in fact be a good buy, as Intel is moving back to socket designs
after the abject failure of their idiotic slot ships... Ugh. If you find a
kickarse dual slot board, you can always grab a couple of slotkets and buy
the better chips. Then again, the BP6 is a little old these days, and I
haven't been keeping up with hardware as much as I used to. ]


Of course, if you're feeling hardcore (and a bit rich), why don't you go for
a dual Alpha? Drool-worthy on both counts.
