Threading in both and LDAP in Spruce?

Threading is a level of complexity above simple lists, so I'd imagine the
authors are skipping it, and concentrating on other features for the time
being.

I'm not too keen on the current list widgets in GTK+ either, and from a
development perspective, I'm told they (or at least the earlier CList) are
kinda fiddly.

Spruce hasn't had a lot of heavy hacking recently, as fejj (the author,
Jeffrey Stedfast) also happens to be one of the main Helix hackers working
on parts of Evolution. He says he gets into trouble with Miguel for hacking
on Spruce. :)

GNOME 1.4 is supposed to be out late Januaryish ("When it's ready" still
applies, of course), including Nautilus (Eazel's file manager) and Evolution
(Helix's groupware suite). After that, it's the build up to GTK+ 2.0, which
by all accounts is going to kick some very serious butt.

Bill Gates, for instance, has a very unfunny butt, and we are going to kick
it. Lots.
