If anyone knows, I'd love to know also - I've just setup a vid capture card to grab an
image off our surveillance system every 3 seconds, and am trying to dump the jpegs
into an mpeg every 6 hours - but when you play them back they're way too fast, and the
manpage for mpeg_encode doesn't say anything about frames per sec..
Also, has anyone been successful in encoding more than 44 frames without it
segfaulting? I'm getting segfaults on both x86 and ppc on the debian 2.2 version of
mpeg_encode, which is really annoying, since I'm looking at 7200 frames per mpeg..
Also, thanks to the people who responded to my sendmail woes email this morning -
seems it was some quirkyness with sendmail caching dns info, and getting totally
confused when it's cached info didn't match what was in the dns.. - incremented the
serial on the two domains that were affected, deleted /var/lib/sendmail/host_status/,
and restarted sendmail on both machines, and it worked fine..
Oh, another little quirk - when you purge sendmail and reinstall with apt, it doesn't
bother setting it up to use anything to deliver local mail - had to manually add
procmail to the sendmail.mc and rebuild the .cf
