Hey sluggers,
I successfully got Debian up and running from windows after following Gus's
great suggestions.
I have also got and installed the latest Xfree86 4.02 from Branden's page.
Got that starting with KDE all installed nicely.
Couple of things are wrong tho.
How do i change the video mode to anything greater than 640*480 with 16
colors?
I have a Nvidia TNT2M64 with 32MB RAM. Xfree does detect it after some
fiddling. There is a maze of config files for X that i don't really
understand. I have found /etc/X11/ and dug thru there, and xf86cfg gives me a
can't find Card database error.
How do i tell X to behave itself?
Also, on the same sort of note, how do i configure the default login manager
to be kdm instead of xdm?
Is there some sort of config tool that makes this easy?

Thanks,

Dave
