IMHO, don't even bother with a fully blown distro, just get yourself a floppy 
router, stick it in the floppy drive (write protect the disk) and boot, 
couldn't be easier. some of the better one even come with windows config 
software (although these cost money).

Another one is emsith, although this does require a hdd.
