[SLUG] Making Fonts

Hi all,

I was wondering, does anybody have any pointers on how to go about making
fonts ? Preferably linux tools to help in the endevour. 

more simply I need to modify the letters that are assigned to a koine
greek font, so that I find it easier to type up. 

Any ideas ?
