If i dont have my linux source files on the hdd how do i copy them over so
that i can compile the kernal???

whats the quickest way, im a novice at the most extreme level here!!!!

Go for it. Recompile your kernel so it supports extra ip_masq modules, then
when you compile ip_masq_icq it will work correctly.

Under 6.2, I believe that capability was in the (stock|bog) standard kernel,
but I could be completely off my tree (given that I almost always recompile
the kernel for my desktop machines, regardless of distro/OS.)
