It has already been done :)

Konqueror has been ported and works fine from Qt/Embedded.
The KDE guy who did it ported some of the kdelibs to Qt/Embedded in the
process so that they don't depend on X. It therefore makes it even easier to
port other KDE apps. One thing that embedded-konqueror is missing is Java. It
however has javascript and https.

However the kdelibs and a lot of the kde programs aren't exactly tiny so how
much sense it makes depends on what kind of application you have in mind.

Here's a link to the article on embedded-konqueror

of a stripped binary is somewhere between 2.1 and 2.8 megabytes."

I ported konsole to Qt/Embedded by modifying the konsole code to not rely on
the KDE libs instead, and it took me a couple of days to do. Was fairly
trivial, and in the process I customised it for a smaller screen footprint.

Were there other things you had in mind to port to it?

Regards
John
