Ogg Vorbis support is included in the Helix GNOME XMMS package.
just add
deb http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/helixcode/distributions/debian woody main
to /etc/apt/sources.list
# apt-get update
# apt-get install xmms
bingo!
I'm running Woody/testing. I don't know if the Ogg Vorbis input plugin is
also in the Potato package. YMMV
