Hi Sluggers,

I crashed the system weeks ago and am still gettting the nvi
recovery message (below).

I've searched for /tmp/img-PLA007483. It doesn't exist. I've done
vi -r; there's nothing to recover. How can I switch the message off?
I've rtf nvi manual. No mention.

And as an aside, how does the recovery programme adopt my ISP (as in
"<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>" as its host, while talking about the machine
"Debian" ?

Help would be appreciated. It's been a long time.

Nick

On Mon Dec 4 20:30:19 2000, the user nicko was editing a
file named /tmp/img-PLA007483 on the machine Debian, when it
was saved for recovery. You can recover most, if not all, of
the changes to this file using the -r option to editor:

        editor -r /tmp/img-PLA007483
