For those that want a GPL alternative to BIND, there's DENTS
http://www.dents.org
It looks to have some interesting features, such as hooks to databases and
the like. (see http://www.usenix.org/events/usenix99/lewis.html for more info)
(djb programs, written by Dan Bernstein of Qmail fame, are most definitely
not GPL'd, btw)
