The problem is that bind was forgiving with the formatting of zonefiles
up until now. ISC activated nazi mode in 8.2.3 and barfs if your
zonefile doesnt meet RFC1035 (section 5 ive been told).
Solution: Fix your zonefiles upto RFC spec. You did build all your
zonefiles properly didnt you?
I know John didnt. db.TEMPLATE ring any bells for you John?
