Computerbank has had some Sun sparc hardware donated to it that has been
flushed, i.e. no operating system.
As they want to sell this gear to raise funds, it would sell better if
it was in running/working condition.
I'm looking for a loan of media to install either Solaris or a Linux
onto it.
The hardware models are;
Sparc 10,
Sparc LX,
Sparc IPX,
Sparc IPC,
Sparc Classic
and there is an SGI Indy that I'm also seeking an operating system for.
I would prefer media that I could stick into a Linux server here, or
into a external CD-rom drive I patch into each system (and a guide on
how to do it - of course), rather than a boot floppy image that
downloads stuff across the internet (downloading CD ISOs takes about 40
hours each on a 28.8K modem line).
taah.
