Sorry folks, but they are following up on a message off the Slug list
and I figure someone else would have asked.

I would say each is reasonable for an external SCSI harddisk box.
However, you are free to bid in whatever way you wish. Also, some may be
less that 1Gb. We won't know until we open each one and check the drive.
They will take a full height 5" hard disk each. You would need to
provide some internal framing if you wanted to include two half
heights,
but you would only have external buttons for one changeable SCSI ID.

100Mhz, 64Mb of RAM, 1Gb (?) HD
Includes the Camera. Missing a PS/2 mouse.
We have already received an offer of $100 and a request for donation
from a linux developer.
Higher bids welcome.
I'm awaiting a loan of CDs to install software.
The IPC, IPX, LX, 2 etc have an amazing array of monitors and these may
be of more interest to some people.
There is a Hitachi 21", 2 x Max Vision? (DTX-17?), 1 Nec 4FG, and 1 Nec
5FGp.
So we will also take bid on just the monitors.

I'm not sure to be honest.
Best to post to the CBNSW list and ask.
Giving specs would help.
I'm not up todate with their hardware standards.
Also advise when available and when they are required to be removed
Also advise any requirements on disposal, i.e can on-sell, must donate,
don't care-where is the truck, etc.
Speaking Generally
Just to make it clear, Computer Bank NSW is selling off this gear. It is
basically being auctioned to the highest bidder. So in the case of the
Sparc 10's, highest bidder gets first choice, etc.
First round of bids close this Saturday to Mark Willis (CC me).
If you want cheap stuff/left overs wait until after Saturday.
The emphasis so far is on the Sparc 10s - these are not Ultras and an
offer has been received on the SD Indy.
We will basically take the best offer each week and at the end of
February, bin/recycle/junk the remainder.
Computerbank can use the funds and I am NOT running a shop - just to
make that point clear (yes - someone phoned) nor am I looking for a
Computer garden object, So this stuff is going FAST.
.
If you want to inspect the gear, this Saturday is the best option. We
will be opening and cleaning everything.
We are hoping to show each box running Solaris this Saturday - to prove
it all works.
If time permits and you are keen, and we have the CDs, we can also try a
Linux install for those who want to go this way.
There have also been some offers to assist with *BSD installs for those
interested.
If you can not make it Sat 3rd, they try MacLUG on Sat 17th if you want
to try a Linux install.
Personally, I think these boxes would be okay as a NFS/Samba server for
a home network as they all come with built in SCSI.
You will need to email me if you want the address for Saturday, and
there will be the usual tea/coffee and BBQ on offer as for Maclug.
