Hi, just had something kind of strange come up, I wonder if anybody
knows what's likely to have happened here. I've got fetchmail set up to
poll my various email accounts, grab it all to be delivered locally.
Just today I had about 50 emails to root, all saying something like
'Headerless email in account tom_massey' sent from the fetchmail daemon.
Looks like fetchmail tried to get email, found headerless emails so
couldn't get them, and then sent mail to tell me about it. As far as I
can tell I haven't actually lost any mail - searching through various
list archives etc, I seem to have received everything sent to me. So
anybody know where/how headerless email is likely to originate? And is
there anything I should do about it? I can't think how it could be
something wrong with my fetchmail set up, which has been running happily
for a couple of years. I'm actually rather intrigued as to how email
could get anywhere at all if it's headerless.
Thanks, Tom.
