We've tried Phorum which is brilliant. PHP based bulletin board. If
you want to convert e-mail to a web page then try MhonArc. It's quite
an amazing package.
If you want a demo have a look at our web site and look at the mail
archive. All of it was generated by MhonArc. Combine this with
Listar and you could have a revolution on your hands. Our own mail
archive is to be found mirrored across the internet.
Just now we are suffering from a post Christmas hacking
attack on the Phorum bulletin board which was really nasty. It was on
a very old Debian server at www.mcc.ac.uk.
We are now in the process of moving our bulletin board to somewhere
else.
If only the internet were populated by nice people and not lunatics
