According to the 600E pages there, the modem is, in fact, a Winmodem which
will not work under Linux. I was unable to get it to work on my 600E, and
gave up as my LAN card had a 56k modem in it anyway, which worked fine
under Linux.
So you're shit outa luck on that one, unfortunately.
Everything else in it works - sound, X, trackpoint mouse etc - just the
modem doesn't.
