G'day all,
Apologies if this is a bit off topic but I am a
bit desperate for time and the input of
the intelligent and experienced people on this list
would be greatly appreciated.
I need to get a demo setup running which will have
2 LINUX boxes and 2 Win boxes,
networked via 10/100Mb Ethernet
The big catches are;
The system has to travel and function
overseas.
The 2 windows boxes have to be pretty good
PC's
with a really good AGP, 3D graphics card.
I was thinking along the lines of.
A rackmount solution in a flight case to
integrate everything in one big plug-in-and-turn-on
bundle.
Or dodgily modifying our current setup
which involves some how cramming 2
PC's in a smaller space than one
currently
takes up and getting 2 Laptops to run
LINUX.
So, size and weight are an obvious issue but I
like the rackmont idea because it reduces
the
possiblity of operator error in connecting/hooking
up
the system when it comes time to do the demo.
I am sure similar situations have arisen before(haven't
they)?
Please share any
ideas, thoughts suggestions experiences.
TIA
